Ayuda a la población de la selva tropical para la remediación de la Amazonía
La Unión de Afectados/as por las Operaciones de Texaco-Chevron (UDAPT) ha luchado por más de 20 años para obligar a Chevron-Texaco a pagar por la devastadora contaminación causada por esta transnacional en la Amazonía Ecuatoriana y a responsabilizarse por los daños. Las acciones de la UDAPT en diferentes países están a punto de llegar a este objetivo.
Su donación ayudará a la UDAPT para preparar los planes ambientales, sociales y culturales para el saneamiento de las tierras contaminadas y el fortalecimiento de la organización social de las comunidades indígenas y campesinas afectadas, para que puedan tomar su destino en sus propias manos.
